Our Principal

Welcome to Mint Hill Elementary School!

It is my true honor to serve as the principal of Mint Hill Elementary School and to lead such an extraordinary community of students, families, dedicated teachers, and supportive staff.

My Background & Experience

Before joining Mint Hill Elementary, I served the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools community as the Principal of Winget Park Elementary, Assistant Principal at Shamrock Gardens Elementary, and Resident Principal at Albemarle Road Elementary. Prior to my time in school administration, I spent nine years teaching middle and high school Social Studies and Special Education in Upstate New York.

Education & Credentials:

• B.A., Adolescent Education & Social Studies – Fredonia State University
• M.S. Ed., Adolescent Education – Oneonta State University
• Certificate of Advanced Study (C.A.S.), Educational Leadership – Binghamton University

Our Vision for Student Success

As an educator and school leader, I believe our primary responsibility is ensuring the physical and emotional safety of every child in our care. Beyond maintaining a safe environment, our goal is to create a vibrant school culture where students:

• Love coming to school every day.
• Experience meaningful academic and personal growth.
• Build the confidence and foundational skills needed to thrive in middle school and beyond.

Connected to the Community

My commitment to Mint Hill Elementary is both professional and deeply personal. My wife, Kari, is a local Physician Assistant, and our son, Lincoln, is a proud former Manatee! Being both a principal and a CMS parent keeps me grounded in what matters most to our families.

Let’s Connect

Strong partnerships between home and school are the foundation of student achievement. My door is always open, and I welcome your feedback, questions, and ideas throughout the school year.

Thank you for your continued support as we work together to help every student SWIM to success!

GO MANATEES!
